NASA Announces Northrop Grumman CRS-23 Resupply Mission to ISS

NASA has officially announced the upcoming launch of Northrop Grumman’s 23rd commercial resupply services mission to the International Space Station (ISS). This mission is expected to play a significant role in replenishing the ISS with vital supplies and scientific equipment. The launch is scheduled to occur no earlier than November 7, 2023, from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility located on Wallops Island, Virginia.

The Cygnus spacecraft, integral to this mission, will carry a variety of research and logistical supplies, enabling the continuation of crucial experiments and station operations. This mission underscores the ongoing partnership and collaboration between NASA and Northrop Grumman, exemplifying their joint commitment to enhancing human presence in space through sustained resupply efforts.

Northrop Grumman’s CRS-23 mission will launch aboard the company’s Antares rocket, which is designed specifically to transport the Cygnus spacecraft and its cargo efficiently to the ISS. Upon arrival, Cygnus will be attached to the station for around three months, allowing astronauts to unload materials and equipment.
